COMMUNICATIONS FROM HIS HONOR THE MAYOR

2.       A communication from Mayor Ruberto submitting an Order authorizing the City of Pittsfield to accept a gift of real property located on Dewey Avenue and Linden Street.

      3.    A communication from Mayor Ruberto submitting an Order authorizing the City of Pittsfield to accept a conveyance of land located on East Street.

      4.    A communication from Mayor Ruberto submitting a Traffic Order establishing a parking restriction on Bartlett Avenue.

      5.   A communication from Mayor Ruberto submitting an Order authorizing the City of Pittsfield to accept a grant of funds in the amount of $7,500.00 from the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners.

      6.   A communication from Mayor Ruberto submitting an Order authorizing the City of Pittsfield to accept a donation in the amount of $2,000.00 from Nuclea Biomarkers.

 

APPOINTMENTS

 

      7.   Appointment of Fedelina Madrid, Donna Rivers, Allison Krol, James Lumsden, Paul Boulais, Laura Wolf, Alan Bauman, Lesley Beck, Janet Brennan, Laura Roudabush to the Commission on Tourism.

 

REPORTS OF COMMITTEES

 

      8.   A report from the Traffic Commission on a petition from William Ballen requesting the elimination of No Parking restrictions on the east side of Bartlett Avenue from East Housatonic Street to Broad Street, recommending that the petition be amended to No Parking restrictions on the east side of Bartlett Avenue from Taconic Street to Broad Street and that restrictions be removed as amended.

 

UNFINISHED BUSINESS

 

      9.   A presentation from Berkshire Economic Development Council (BEDC) on its objectives and an update of its current activities as they relate to job creation.

      10.   A report from the Committee on Ordinances and Rules on a petition from Jeffrey Ferrin requesting a change and amendment of the City Code, Part II, Chapter 2, Article I, Section 2.1 and 2.2, City Owned Vehicles, recommending approval.

 

NEW BUSINESS

      11.   A petition from Councilor Nichols requesting an amendment to the Code of the City of Pittsfield, Chapter 4½, Section 4½ -2 Enforcement Non-Criminal Disposition.

      12.   A petition from Councilor Marchetti and Brian P. Morrison requesting that the City Council support a resolution protecting the right to organize and to share the resolution with organizations known to be forming unions.

      13.   A petition from Jeffrey Ferrin requesting to speak at the November 9, 2010 City Council meeting beyond the three minute open microphone.
