Beginning January 15th, the Lichtenstein Center for the Arts will host BerkshireCity: Pittsfield on Film, a juried exhibition designed to showcase the urban landscape of Pittsfield, its unique neighborhoods, striking architecture and diverse settings.

The exhibit is being put on to both celebrate the diversity and beauty of Pittsfield and promote the city for use by the film industry. This event is sponsored by the City of Pittsfield Office of Cultural Development, BerkshireCity.com, and the Berkshire Film & Media Commission. Select photographers will also be chosen to display their work on www.berkshirefilm.com.

BerkshireCity: Pittsfield on Film features 26 photographers, including Kevin Sprague, Kay Canavino, Scott Barrow, Mary Garnish, Joseph Wilk, and many more. The exhibit kicks off with an opening reception at the Lichtenstein Center for the Arts on Friday, January 15th from 5 to 7pm. This event is free and open to the public. The exhibition will run until March 6th and the Lichtenstein Center for the Arts is open Wednesday-Saturday from 12pm-5pm.

The Yard by Nicole Garzino
The reception will be followed by a concert from NYC/LA trumpet and guitar collaboration, TIN/BAG, a group who has been called, "Radiant... there's an open, intensely emotional quality to the duo's playing... spare, haunting, with hints of modernist avant garde gestures." by Andy Hamilton of The Wire (UK). The concert begins at 7:30pm and is $10.
