Historic Pittsfield
History comes alive in Pittsfield for you and your family to enjoy! The story of the Shakers comes vividly to life at historic Hancock Shaker Village, home to the largest collection of Shaker artifacts in the world. Take a self-guided tour of Pittsfield’s historic downtown buildings, as well as the Pittsfield sites on the African-American Heritage Trail, including the home of 19th century civil rights leader Reverend Samuel Harrison.
